Welcome to the Foundation Stage Learning journey
The aim of this page is to make the transition into Foundation Stage as smooth and simple as possible for both you and your child.
Here are some reminders of important details which you may have forgotten to ask about or are not yet sure of.
What are the hours of the school day?
Nursery - Morning sessions are 9.00am - 11.30am
- Afternoon sessions are 1.45pm - 3.15pm
Reception - There is a flexible start to the day between 8.50 - 9.05am and you are welcome to collect your children between 3.00 - 3.15pm
How much are school lunches?
£2-10 per day
Payments to be made on Monday or Friday please

Who should I make a cheque out to?
Staffs County Council or SCC
Do I need to pay milk money and how much will it be?
Once your child reaches their 5th birthday they are no longer eligible
for free milk. Milk costs 20p per day.
Will my child get free fruit?
Yes, all children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage One have free fruit every day.
Top Ten Tips
1. Please label everything with your childs name.
2. If your child has a school coat please write their name on the side label as well as in the hood flap.
3. Please check book bags each night for letters, invitations etc
4. Please put money and cheques for dinners and/or milk in a named envelope.
5. We operate an open door policy; if there is something on your mind, please do not hesitate to discuss the matter. No worry is too
small.
6. Check learning logs for updates on your child's targets and what we have been learning each week.
7. Please make a quick comment back so we are aware that you have read books/ seen targets etc
8. Begin to teach your child to take off and put on their own jumper and coat.
9. Donations of spare clothes for accidents are always appreciated.
10. Don't worry.
